As the pandemic continued so did the way we viewed fashion. The art of runways became a thing of the past as digital tools overtook the industry positioning brands and their garments solely behind screens. For established country, fashion and lifestyle publication, Femme Country Magazine, this was an opportunity to spark a sense of curiosity about the country style and spotlight its ability to be versatile in contrasting landscapes. Through their content they combined country modernity with stylistic integrity to showcase looks that would push the boundaries that confined country clothing, introducing the style in an urbanised environment.
With a fervour to spotlight pull this vision from beyond their pages, Femme Country Magazine are honoured to be hosting ‘The Country to City Muse’ fashion show on the first evening of the official York Fashion Week schedule. Dramatic lighting, a full audience and the chance to see collections displayed live are all factors that will drive this one-of-a-kind event.
Editor-in-Chief, Brontë Clare Mitchell: “Our vision is to spread an awareness about the versatility of country clothing and its ability to move from beyond the fields and into the city. We wanted to create a show immersed with spirit that commends the vision of the brands and the work of their designers.”
Located at the beautifully chic Malmaison Hotel at the heart of York’s city centre, where the show will make its appearance, the exclusive event will see eminent country brands make their debut on the runway sporting the latest collections and spotlighting the versatility of each garment. Fashion names bringing a new lease of life onto the runway are jewellery brand, Hiho Silver, a label electrically inspired by the beauty of the countryside, Fairfax & Favor, a multi-award-winning brand at the very forefront of British Luxury Fashion, Toggi Outdoor, the new collection from Toggi Clothing which combines sport luxe with heritage country touches in a label that in no way compromises on style. Further brands include Hicks & Brown, Whale of a Time and the introduction of women’s country to city stockists Wild & Westbrooke and Parnaby’s Saddlery.
In an evening immersed with networking and a window into styling the country to city fashion that is increasing by the second, ‘The Country to City Muse’ runway is waiting for your front-row appearance.
